Veritas high school students have the experience of working under the guidance of their instructor, while developing the independence and self-discipline that makes the transition to college natural and easy. Learning to work without the typical handholding of a 5-day school benefits them in higher education. Beginning in 5th grade and increasing through high school, students can self-direct many of their studies at home. You get to do the fun part: assisting your children as they explore God’s word and His revealed truth in creation.įor older students, Veritas teaches independence and study skills. You can be more actively involved in your children’s education without the hassle and stress of planning lessons, or sorting through thousands of curriculum options. Lesson plans at school and at home are completely done for you by our professional teachers. On Tuesdays and Thursdays (and Fridays for 5th and up), students complete assignments at home with the assistance of a “co-teacher”-typically you. Students attend classes Monday and Wednesday, with professional teachers in a traditional classroom. Our belief is that you should never look back on your children's education and wish you could do it again. Our staff will love and nurture your children, and help and support you. Our purpose is to join with you in the duty of raising your kids in the fear and admonition of the Lord, preparing them to live well as God's image-bearers. Most importantly, it is a school where the Bible is respected, and children are discipled in the faith. Doing everything yourself is a heavy burden-selecting a curriculum, prepping, teaching, marking, reviewing, discipling, praying… It's even harder when you have to single-handedly teach them to love Jesus at the same time.
